The Napkin Converting Machine (Making Napkins from Paper)

This is the standard "napkin making machine" for a manufacturing business. You purchase ready-made jumbo rolls of tissue paper and convert them into finished, folded, packaged napkins.

Components of a Standard Napkin Converting Machine Line:

1. Unwind Stand: Holds the large jumbo roll of tissue paper.

2. Printing Unit (Optional): Adds colored patterns or borders using flexographic printing.

3. Embossing & Ply Bonding Unit: Two engraved steel rollers:

   • Emboss: Create decorative patterns (diamonds, flowers).

   • Bond: Laminate 2 or 3 plies of paper together for thickness.

4. Perforating & Cutting Unit: A rotary die-cutter that perforates and cuts the continuous paper web into individual napkin-sized sheets.

5. Folding Unit: Precisely folds each napkin (e.g., 1/4 fold, 1/2 fold, C-fold).

6. Counting & Stacking Unit: Counts a preset number of napkins (e.g., 50, 200) and forms a neat stack.

7. Packaging Unit: Wraps the stack in polypropylene film (polybag) or inserts it into a sleeve/box.

8. PLC Control Panel: Computerized controls for speed, count, and synchronization.
