It's a compact production line designed for small to medium-scale businesses to convert large parent paper jumbo rolls into finished, perforated, and logged toilet paper rolls. These machines are less automated and have a lower output than industrial-sized lines, making them perfect for startups, local businesses, or niche markets.
There are generally two levels of "small" machines:
This is the most basic and affordable setup. It's ideal for very small workshops or startups with a limited budget.
Process: It primarily performs the rewinding and perforating function.
How it works:
Manual Loading: An operator manually places a core (cardboard tube) onto the shaft.
Paper Feeding: The paper from the jumbo roll is fed manually into the machine.
Automated Rewinding: The machine automatically winds the paper onto the core, creates the perforations, and cuts the paper to the set length.
Manual Unloading: The operator manually removes the finished roll and may need to trim the tail with glue.
Output: 40 - 80 rolls per minute.
Pros: Low cost, small footprint, low energy consumption, easy to operate.
Cons: Labor-intensive, lower output, consistency depends on the operator.
This is a complete, integrated line that automates the entire process from the jumbo roll to the finished, logged roll. This is what most
small-to-medium factories use.
Process: It includes unwinding, rewinding, perforating, cutting, and logging.
How it works:
Unwinding Stand: Holds the large jumbo roll of tissue paper (often 2-ply).
Rewinding Machine: The heart of the line. It draws the paper, embosses it (if equipped), creates the perforation lines, winds it around the core, and cuts it to length. The finished "log" (a long roll of multiple toilet papers) is ejected automatically.
Log Saw (or Cutter): Automatically takes the long log and cuts it into individual toilet paper rolls of the desired size.
Output: 80 - 150 rolls per minute.
Pros: Higher output, consistent quality, requires less labor, more professional finish.
Cons: Higher initial investment, larger space requirement, more complex operation.
A typical small fully automatic line consists of:
Jumbo Roll Stand: Holds the large raw paper rolls.
Rewinding Machine: Performs embossing, perforating, winding, and cutting.
Log Saw: Cuts the long log into individual rolls.
Electrical Control System: The PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) that runs the machine.
Optional Components for a more complete setup:
Packing Table: For manually or semi-automatically packaging the rolls.
Core Making Machine: If you want to produce your own cardboard cores instead of buying them pre-made.
