It's a compact, often semi-automatic or fully automatic production line that performs the core converting functions:
Rewinding: Winding the tissue onto cardboard tubes.
Log Sawing: Cutting the long "log" into individual rolls.
(Often) Embossing: Adding patterns for softness and aesthetics.
These machines are characterized by:
Lower Output: 50 - 400 rolls per hour (compared to 4,000+ for industrial lines).
Smaller Footprint: Designed to fit in a workshop or small factory.
Lower Investment: Significantly cheaper than industrial lines.
Ease of Operation: Often requiring only 1-3 people to operate.
1. Mini/Semi-Automatic Toilet Paper Rewinding Machine
This is the most basic and affordable setup for very small businesses.
A manual or semi-automatic rewinder.
A separate log saw.
An operator manually places a cardboard core onto the machine.
The machine winds the paper from a small jumbo roll onto the core.
The operator removes the long "log" and manually carries it to the saw.
The operator uses the log saw to cut the log into individual rolls.
2. Economic Full Automatic Toilet Paper Production Line
This is an integrated line where the rewinding and log sawing are connected, dramatically increasing efficiency.
Unwind Stand for the jumbo roll.
Embossing Unit (for 1 or 2-ply).
Fully Automatic Rewinder & Log Saw (connected in one machine).
May include a simple counting and ejection system.
How it Works: The process is largely automatic from the jumbo roll to the finished, cut rolls. Operators mainly load cores and jumbo rolls
and collect the finished products.
A1: A full toilet paper production line mainly consists of jumbo roll unwinder, rewindingembossingperforating host, log saw cutting machine and roll packing machine. Auxiliary parts include air compressor and electrical control cabinet. Buyers can choose modular configuration and add units stepbystep according to production budget and output goals.
A2: It supports virgin woodpulp jumbo tissue rolls and recycledpulp parent rolls. Applicable paper grammage ranges from 14 g/m² to 23 g/m², and it can produce 1ply, 2ply or 3ply finished toilet paper rolls for household and commercial scenarios.
A3: Key influencing factors include operating speed, finished roll size setting, raw paper quality, operator proficiency and equipment maintenance status. The theoretical maximum speed cannot be sustained continuously if raw material quality fluctuates.
A4: For standard fullauto converting line, a workshop area of 300450 m² is recommended. Normally 23 operators per shift are enough. Semiautomatic configurations need more manual labor for handling and packing finished rolls.
A5: NRC Machinery provides factory warranty, English operation manuals and maintenance video tutorials, plus lifelong remote technical support. On-site commissioning and operator training are optional paid services. Spare parts can be delivered by sea or air. You may submit project inquiries via nrcmachinery.com for detailed solutions.
