It is a fully integrated production line that takes jumbo tissue rolls as input and produces fully packaged, retail-ready toilet paper packs as output, with the entire process controlled by a central computerized system. The goal is maximum throughput
with operational consistency.
Fully Integrated Line: From the unwind stand to the case-packed product, every step is automated.
High Production Speed: Typically ranging from 250 to 600+ rolls per minute (RPM). Some top-tier lines can exceed 800 RPM.
Minimal Labor: Requires only 1-2 operators for monitoring, refilling packaging materials, and addressing alerts.
Advanced Control Systems: Sophisticated PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) panels for precise control, data logging, and diagnostics.
The line seamlessly integrates the following processes:
Automatic Unwinding & Splicing:
Purpose: Holds multiple jumbo rolls.
Key Feature: An automatic splicer detects when a running jumbo roll is nearly finished, activates a flying splice unit, and seamlessly bonds the new roll's paper to the running web without stopping the machine. This is critical for maintaining high efficiency.
Embossing & Ply Bonding:
High-precision embossing rollers create patterns and, for 2-ply products, glue the plies together.
High-Speed Rewinding & Perforating:
The core of the machine. It automatically:
Feeds cardboard cores from a magazine.
Perforates the paper with extreme accuracy.
Winds the paper onto the cores at very high speeds, controlling tension for perfect roll hardness and diameter.
Ejects the finished "logs."
Log Accumulation & Transfer:
A buffering system collects the logs and feeds them smoothly into the cutter, ensuring a continuous flow.
High-Speed Log Cutting:
Uses ultra-precise, high-RPM circular saws to cut the logs into individual rolls without dust or paper fray.
Automated Packaging:
This is a multi-stage process on a high-speed line:
Individual Wrapping: Each roll is wrapped in film or paper at high speed.
Multi-Packing: Wrapped rolls are automatically counted, grouped (e.g., 4, 9, 12, 24), and inserted into plastic bags or paper/plastic overwrap.
Case Packing: The multi-packs are automatically arranged and loaded into shipping cases, which are then sealed and palletized.
